Who is Re:Build Fikst Product Development?
Fikst, a Re:Build Manufacturing company, is a dynamic product development and engineering consulting firm located in Wilmington, MA. We work with pioneering clients to develop their technology, design their products, and bring those products to production. Fikst's areas of expertise include industrial automation, robotics, biomedical instruments and consumables, microfluidics, specialty plastic design, optics, and design for manufacturing. We have extensive in-house laboratory and rapid prototyping capability including CNCs, 3D printers and laser cutters, which help facilitate our ability to prototype and innovate fast. As part of Re:Build Manufacturing, we are able to collaborate with other member sites and leverage a greater network of capabilities including composites, industrial design, structural analysis, and embedded systems design.

What You'll Get to Do:
We’re hiring experienced mechanical engineers who are excited for the variety and challenge of product development.
In this role you will exercise your mechanical design experience in an energetic and progressive consulting environment. You’ll join a group of talented engineers to lead the development of new technologies and bring new products to market. You will be a lead technical contributor on your team in addition to working alongside your clients and presenting your progress to leadership. You will support your team through the product design process, coaching young engineers through technical challenges while delivering your own technical contributions as well. You will do all of this in lively collaboration with your fellow engineers and our clients.
What You Bring to the Team:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 6-10 years of industry experience
- Broad technical background and the desire to learn more
- 3D CAD experience (Solidworks preferred)
- Experience with a range of manufacturing processes is a plus (injection molding, machining, sheet metal, casting, etc.)
- Experience designing robotic systems or industrial automation a plus
- Experience in consulting is a plus
