Founded in 1989 as a 501(c)(3), Housing Development Fund is a community development financial institution. Housing Development Fund’s (HDF) mission is to facilitate the development of affordable rental and homeownership opportunities. We accomplish this by helping households become and remain owners of affordable homes, as well as financing affordable rental opportunities for low- and moderate-income households. By providing free counseling and unique lending products to first-time homebuyers, HDF helps community members become homeowners. We also offer competitive financing options to developers who build affordable housing units.

Salary Range and Terms:
$24.00-$28.00/ hour. This is a permanent position at HDF.

The Post-Closing Servicing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a smooth and thorough final process for the Residential Lending Team. This role involves working closely with the entire Residential Lending Team as well as partner attorneys and our Loan Servicer Dovenmuehle Mortgage. The Post -Closing Servicing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the mortgage packages are completed timely and accurate and adhered to by means of policy and procedures. The Post- Closing Servicing Coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating and completing all mortgage release requests from borrowers.

Essential Job Functions:
• Receive and review all closing documents for accuracy and compliance by completing post- closing checklist.
• Act as a liaison between appropriate parties to resolve and follow- up on outstanding post- closing conditions to ensure the loan meets investor requirements prior to delivery.
• Follow up with closers and attorneys on any missing documentation.
• Complete all onboarding requirements and required input for proper delivery of new loans.
• Update all required team members of completion of monthly on boarding.
• Import and complete all required fields in LOS system and Salesforce.
• Ensures confidentiality of bank and customer information.
• Receive and review complete loan closing packages sent electronically
• Complete and request all mortgage releases for all loan programs.
• May be required to perform any other job-related instructions as requested by manager
• Identify and partake in professional development opportunities of choice for education and career advancement including attending and presenting at conferences.

Qualifications:
• Motivation, passion, and commitment to the mission of Housing Development Fund
• Substantive professional and/or personal knowledge of areas addressed by Housing Development Fund strongly preferred.

• Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple time sensitive tasks seamlessly without compromising quality.
• Personal qualities of integrity and credibility.
• Must be proficient utilizing Microsoft Teams virtual communication tools and Excel
• Knowledge of Salesforce and Encompass a plus.
• 1-3 Years prior experience in a loan servicing role or equivalent is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Position can be performed fully remotely. Candidates must be CT or NY residents and available to come to Stamford, CT for training and occasional HDF events. Preference will be given to candidates who can work in the Stamford, CT office one day a week.
